Gout affects the whole family.
If your family has been coping with gout and you are looking for something new, a clinical research study may be an option. With the help of medical professionals, not only will your family learn more about gout, you may be helping to find a more effective way of treating gout for others in the future.
To qualify for a study you must:
- Have a diagnosis of gout
- Be willing to take treatment daily to possibly prevent gout attacks along with an investigational medication
If you qualify for a study, you will receive:
- Close monitoring of your gout
- Study-related gout medication
You should know that:
- The study doctor will see you regularly over 6 to 14 months
- Your medical information is kept strictly confidential, unless given your permission or except as required by law
To participate:
- You DON'T need to be having a gout attack now
- You DON'T need to be currently taking any gout medication
